Starting early on a three-day road trip, this is dawn over Big Bear:
I then drove north to Barstow, west through Boron, spending the night in Bakersfield again.
By the morning of day two I was at Wind Wolves Preserve:
Driving a huge loop around Bakersfield, by that evening I was heading up Kern Canyon.
After breakfast, I spent most of day three with Gwen, then one of my last finds on the way home had an interesting logbook entry:
A total of 65 finds in 3 days. I would do just 1 less over 5 days for the event in November.
